The new uWebshop Company

2011 brought a lot of great things to the uWebshop ecommerce package for the Umbraco content management system. uWebshop has grown exponentially in implementation base as well as brand awareness. To be able to continue this growth, all of uWebshop is now moved into a newly founded company: the uWebshop company.

The company is founded by the creator of the uWebshop package, Arnold Visser, together with three business partners: Job Baart de la Faille, Gijs van Dam and Michel Brinckman.

For the development of the Umbraco5 version of uWebshop, the uWebshop company made a technical partnership with Mindbus: a full service Internet agency in Leiden, the Netherlands. They will supply the uWebshop company with extra development capacity if required.

The uWebshop company will focus on the following:

• Developing and supporting the current uWebshop package for Umbraco 4.
• Developing the uWebshop package for Umbraco 5.
• Hands-on certification and training for developers and shop managers.
• Support uWebshop implementations.
• Developing custom uWebshop modules for clients.
• Handling full uWebshop projects for web agencies that would like to have the project build by the uWebshop team. We can take care of the whole project, from concept to design, to development and implementation.

The uWebshop company will not implement uWebshop projects for end-clients. If we get the request to build an uWebshop implementation for an end-client, we will forward the request to an uWebshop solution partner. For more information about becoming an uWebshop partner please contact us.
